Ready for Equity”™ Training for Investors and Entrepreneurs

Ready for Equity!™ is a pan-European project targeting the key issues impeding business angel activity across the European business community. To improve investor and investment readiness, the RfE!™ team have developed training sessions for business angels and entrepreneurs to facilitate and support the capacity building process for early stage investments and the fund raising journey.
Presented by members of the Ready for Equity!2™ project team, two trainings sessions will be held on 16th April 2010 following the EBAN Congress 2010.
The Business Angel training will provide participants with an introduction to angel investing, addressing the needs of virgin angels wishing to make their first investment in a start-up company, followed by a session on management of an investment.
The entrepreneur training is targeted at entrepreneurs seeking finance from private investors and will give a brief introduction to the key requirements to successfully raise Angel finance, followed by a session on team building and internationalization of start-ups.
Both training events will be delivered by experienced Ready for Equity!™ trainers, who will bring the added value of their direct experience to the programme and ensure an effective face-to-face interaction and exchange of relationships among participants. One angel and entrepreneur  guest speakers will also take part in the training to share their personal experience in the field.
 
 
Note: The Training Fee is 150.- € (VAT inc.) Place are limited to 30 seats for each training.

Business Angels Training
How to become a Business Angel

The aim of this session is to create an understanding of the process of becoming a Business Angela as well as to understand basic risk mitigating strategies such as portfolio building and syndication. Furthermore, the session will provide an introduction to the identification and selection of potential investment opportunities.

Arif Akdag
Founder of EKA GLOBAL (a network of companies spanning a variety of businesses), Arif Akdag is a serial entrepreneur and an experienced venture investor with a seemingly endless appetite for starting new businesses. 

Paolo Anselmo
Since 1999, Paolo has been responsible for general management of the IBAN Presidency based in Milan (Italy). Currently, Paolo is INSME’s President and member of EBAN’s (The European Trade Association for Business Angels, Seed Funds, and other Early Stage Market Players) Board of Directors. Paolo has been, since 1994 to 2006, the Managing Director of the Aosta Valley Regional Development Agency (Centro Sviluppo SpA). Paolo is also an expert Member in various European Commission working groups.

Paul Delahunty
Paul is a highly experienced funding professional and trainer. He has been involved in early stage financing for high growth companies for more than 10 years. Paul is the project manager of Ready for Equity!™ as well as the Business Angels network Manager of SECA, the Business Angel network of Finance South East, UK.
Blaž Kos
Blaž build and manages Poslovni angeli Slovenije, Slovenia’s biggest Business Angels Network. Based in Ljubljana, the network is active through out Slovenia and collaborates with other BANs in neighbouring countries. Prior to this Blaž was a Project Manager at the Incubator Unit at Ljubljana University.
Florian Schumacher
Florian has been involved in the Business Angel market since he left University. While working for the German Umbrella Association of Business Angel Networks as well as for a German BAN he joined the Ready for Equity! ™ project as the peer reviewer. Since moving to the UK Florian is working for FSE’s SECA Business Angels Network and is involved in the project management of Ready for Equity!™
